Justin Shobe, PE
Justin is a Civil Engineer with 20 years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure, public works, and building design. He spent 15 years at a groundwater consulting firm, where he supervised the engineering team and led large-scale municipal water projects, including wells, pump stations, pipelines, and master plans. In addition to this infrastructure work, Justin has designed and overseen multiple residential projects with his wife. He launched a private consulting practice to merge his skills and interests with those of his wife to take on projects where they could focus their innovative solutions.

Chrissy Backman, PE
Chrissy is a Mechanical Engineer specializing in building technology, construction, energy analysis, and HVAC systems. She brings a practical, innovative approach to every project, delivering efficient, reliable solutions tailored to each client’s needs. Chrissy has worked with engineering firms focused on building energy and has been deeply involved in community grassroots organizations. She is collaborating with a local non-profit to integrate hempcrete pre-fab construction into affordable housing. Chrissy is also a part-time lecturer as Cal Poly Humboldt’s School of Engineering.
